Yin yoga is a practice designed to work on the connective tissues, also known as the Yin tissues, of the body. Mostly seated, these poses are designed to open and strengthen the tissues mostly around the hips, low back, pelvis and thighs. A slow, steady load is placed into the area of the body to be stretched and strengthened, with slow movements and optimal breath leading the way to a healthier, more open and flexible body and mind.
